Money Guide Pro - Dashboard Overview

In this tutorial we will cover the Snapshot View of Money Guide Pro. Once you log on, this is a screen that you'll see. So there's a couple key cool features that we'll see along this screen here. The first thing we can see along the right side of the screen is the Monte-Carlo Probability of Success score that your advisor will refer to in your review meetings.

If we scroll down a little bit, we can see a few different things here, a summary of our Upcoming Goals, a summary of our Net Worth, and a summary of our Current Allocation.

The first thing we'll look at is the Upcoming Goals. Once you're inside the Goals screen, it's going to give you a breakdown of every goal that we're using inside your financial plan.

Up at the top we can see it broken down on a chart. If we scroll through here, we can see year over year what our Spending Goal Assumptions are. We can also see the same data set below that in a different type of view. And then on the right side, we can see line items of the goals that we are planning on using.

Click Return go back to the main screen here.

And we can do the same thing alongside the Net Worth. Once we click into the Net Worth tab, we'll see a view of all of the assets that we're using inside our plan. If we go to Summarize by Category and Expand All Details, here's where you'll see all the different investment accounts that you have. So you can see the Charles Schwab IRAs and Roth IRAs. Inside of here you'll also be able to see your Annuities. And then any additional investments and funds that you have.

We can go back to the main screen here. We can also see the Current Allocation.

Along the left side here, it gives a breakdown of the current allocation of all the investment assets that we just looked at. So in this example we have 4% cash, 10% intermediate bonds, and so on. Along the right side here, this is Money Guide Pro's default portfolios. So if you see a negative sign along the right side here, it doesn't mean that your account is down $10,000 in this example. This is just what you would need to do to fit into Money Guide Pro's composite portfolio.

And that completes the Dashboard Overview of Money Guide Pro.
