Money Guide Pro - Play Zone Tutorial
In this tutorial we're going to go over the Play Zone. Once you log in to Money Guide Pro Snapshot view, this is the screen that you're going to see. To access the Play Zone, we're going to go along the right side of our screen and hit Adjust Your Plan in the Play Zone.
We're going to see a breakdown of all the goals that we have inside the plan along the left side of the screen, along with these sliders. Inside the play zone, you have the ability to change the assumptions inside your plan.
If you notice on the right side of the screen, there's the same inputs under Recommended Scenario that are grayed out. Any changes that you make inside the play zone are not going to affect our plan. This space is designed solely for you to have the ability to play with your plan without impacting what we have. So if we click on here, Retirement Basic Living expense, we can click on it and say, what would it look like if I wanted to spend X amount of dollars in retirement?
So in this example I'll change it from $75,000 to $200,000. We can hit enter and it's going to tell us what that does with the Monte Carlo Probability of Success. So in this example, it brings it from a 99 to a 52. So maybe I need to reduce my spending a little bit. We can keep playing with these numbers until we get the perfect plan that we want. And we can do this with any of our goals. If I want to increase my Go Go Years, I can do that as well.
And then once we find the perfect plan, if you wanted to, you could go up to the top and hit the save button. What that does is every time you log in to the play zone, it's going to default back to the scenario you saved. If you don't hit save every time you come back to the play zone, it's going to bring us back to the recommended scenario default inputs.
On the Play Zone scenarios, we can also view different charts by hitting this Explore button. And then we can see a bunch of different charts here that we can look at and view in our play scenario. Stay tuned for another video to go over these charts.
